About Me

Sharing is caring!

I started my journey in 2004 with my friend Marie, she introduced me to Napa and Sonoma. For a Midwest girl who wanted to learn more about wine and escape the world of White Zinfandel, that first visit was magical.  I was never much of a red wine drinker, but through that visit I tried so many varieties of whites and reds.  I remember bringing home two cases of wine.  My passion started there, and I wanted to learn everything I could about wine.  I subscribed to Wine Spectator and Wine Enthusiast and took every opportunity I could find to expand my knowledge.

Now I travel to wine country at least annually, I try to get there more when I can add it on to a work trip.  I attend local tastings as much possible.  I explore local wine bars.  I’ve been to Bordeaux and have an appreciation for French wine, especially French Rose.  Those who know me, know I have become somewhat of a wine snob; however, I can appreciate wines at most price points.  My friends have nicknamed me the “Wine Diva” and I have embraced the name.

When friends and coworkers decide to visit wine country, they often ask for tasting recommendations. For the times that I cannot go, it gives me joy to help them with their itineraries, which would not be complete without dinner recommendations as well. Through this blog, I hope to share what I’ve learned and help you get the most out of your wine experience. Remember, you can’t buy happiness, but you can buy wine and that’s kind of the same thing.  Join me on the journey to explore a wine bar, wine store or a winery.
