After three and a half days of tasting great wine, having good food and enjoying amazing weather, the day came too quickly to head back to Wisconsin.
We checked out of the loft and headed to Yountville for our final tasting of the long weekend. We ended where we started at Handwritten Wines. We were early so we walked around Yountville and stopped in at Bouchon Bakery to take a few things home.
It was a nice way to end our trip, most of the same wines we tasted on Thursday but Bill added in the Howell Mountain Cabernet, which was amazing. It was also fun to have Gary join us, finally after many conversations, an Instagram Live and emails, he was able to join us for an hour before we had to head to the airport.
I’m so glad we took the chance and went to Napa, this trip was full of amazing memories. Meeting with winemakers, winery owners and all the personalized attention.
