Wild Fires

Sharing is caring!

I’ve been working on writing posts based on my September visit to Napa. However, given the current wild fires in Sonoma County, that seems trivial. The photos are so scary to see while I’m here in Wisconsin complaining about the potential for snow tonight and again on Thursday. I’ll take the snow over these fires any day.

I’ve been thinking about what I can do, the one thing coming to mind is prayer. And I’m doing that, but the way we can all support this region is to buy their wine at our local wine shops or restaurants. Additionally you can plan a visit, injecting your dollars into the economy is the best way to help these farmers and wine makers/owners. They will all need our support in the days, weeks and years to come.

I’m following articles on multiple sites including Facebook. Here are some links to articles for you to read about the devastation.

You can also follow individual wineries on Instagram for their updates. I’ll be posting about my Wine Country trip soon. Until then, cheers to drinking fine wine and prayers for the vintners in Sonoma County.
